Senior Julian Chan is honored to be a Homecoming finalist and believes it is one of the highlights of his high school career. “It’s definitely a new experience,” he said.
Along with being nominated for Homecoming king, Chan cited joining Science Olympiad as one of his most memorable moments during his time at Mark Keppel as it sparked his interest in the sciences and helped him in deciding his intended major, aerospace engineering.
Apart from being a member of Science Olympiad, Chan is also on the board for National Honor Society, captain of the Math Team, and part of Crown and Sceptre. Outside of academics, Chan is passionate about boy scouts and badminton as he is in both Eagle Scout and in the Badminton Club.
His plans for the future include getting into the college of his choice, saying “I hope to take with me all the lessons I’ve learned in high school and make my college experience that much more rewarding.”
