Senior Brian Yeo is surprised to be a homecoming finalist and said that the homecoming fashion show was one of the most memorable moments of his high school career.
Yeo is the Vice President of NHS and PYA, is a Varsity sprinter and jumper for the Track and Field team, the Viewpoint Editor for The Aztec newspaper, and has recently become an Eagle Scout after being a member of the Boy Scouts for over 12 years. An interesting fact that most people do not know about Yeo is that he was not born in this country.
Yeo’s goals for his last year at Keppel are to be accepted into at least one college, as well as to enjoy and make the most of the rest of the time he has in high school. Something that he will miss after leaving Keppel is his friends and being able to interact with them on a daily basis.
Since freshmen year, Yeo feels that he has matured and has begun to understand his values and priorities more. He said that he has been able to enjoy the high school experience more through narrowing his focuses. The advice that Yeo gives for underclassmen is to “remember to balance your enjoyment and rest with academic focus.” He also said, “You’re only in high school once, so make the most of your time here.”
Yeo would like to give a shout out to his mom, LOTG, Tiffany Wong, and A$AP Rocky.
