Each year, Mark Keppel holds a spring rally to acknowledge the seniors involved with spring sports. Keppel held its 2017 Spring Rally at Palm Court during lunch on March 10.

Seniors of seven sports- Boy’s Volleyball, Swim, Badminton, Boy’s Tennis, Softball, Baseball, and Track and Field- were called up. Each senior that was recognized received a sash with the name of their sports team and had their pictures taken. Tennis senior Austin Lu said, “I was nervous. I’m not used to being in front of so many people.”

In addition to awarding the seniors, there were also performances from Color Guard, Band, Dance Team, and All Male. Color Guard had worked hard for the rally and prepared a choreography with new styles. Member and junior Lyan Ly said, “I felt really nervous because we’ve been cleaning so hard, so I didn’t want to mess up or forget to fix my past mistakes. Overall, it was a really fun experience.”

Spring Rally, a tribute to over 100 seniors, was full of smiles and hard work.
